ZOM DONATES TREES
TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
FOR ANNUAL ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION

ORLANDO, FL - April 25, 2002 - Three elementary schools have been selected to receive a total of over 75 trees as a part of ZOM's annual Arbor Day tree-planting celebration. ZOM, a real estate development and property management company with interests in several Florida markets, will plant the trees on school property in return for the school's promise to care for and enjoy the trees. The schools include Hillcrest Elementary Foreign Language Academy in Orlando, Lakewood Elementary School in St. Petersburg and Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor Elementary School in Bay Harbor Island.

Students and teachers will participate with ZOM volunteers in the schoolyard tree-planting celebrations. The festivities will include interactive discussions about the importance of trees to our planet's ecosystem and instruction on tree planting and care.

This represents the seventh year that ZOM has celebrated Arbor Day by planting trees on schoolyards throughout Florida.

President and CEO Steve Patterson explains, "Celebrating Arbor Day together is a good reminder to us here at ZOM of the importance of our environment. To see the positive impact that planting a few trees has on these children and their school grounds motivates us to do the right thing environmentally when it comes to building our projects." According to Patterson, "ZOM always strives to plant more trees than it removes through its development activities, and schoolyards seem to be an ideal place to plant those trees and set positive civic and environmental examples."
