ZOM
Development Distinguished as Multiple Winner of Aurora & Grand Aurora
Awards for The Arbors at Branch Creek and The Hamptons at Coral Springs
ORLANDO,
FL July 26, 2000 In recognition of projects in an 11-state
southeastern region that have demonstrated quality construction and design
excellence, the 20th annual Aurora awards competition for Designs of Distinction
awards were presented to industry professionals on July 22, 2000, in conjunction
with the Southeast Building Conference's annual convention and exposition
in Orlando, Florida. The SEBC states are Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas,
Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee
and Virginia.
For
their luxurious garden-style apartment community, The Arbors at Branch
Creek, located in northwest Tampa, Florida, ZOM Development won a total
of four awards for Best Rental Community (more than 15 units per acre),
Best Landscape Design of a Rental Community, Best Landscape Design of
a Commercial Pool, and a Grand Aurora for the Best Rental Community. The
interior design firm of Marc-Michaels also accepted an Aurora award for
Best Interior Design of a Model Apartment for The Arbors at Branch Creek.
One of Branch Creek's unique features is the natural setting within a
50-acre saltwater marsh. Existing wetland areas were preserved to sustain
the quality of Florida's native environment and wildlife, while providing
unparalleled quality of living for residents. Development Associate Lisa
Kinley accepted the awards on behalf of ZOM.
ZOM
Development also won an Aurora award for Best Rental Community (less than
15 units per acre) for their prestigious apartment community The Hamptons
at Coral Springs, which is located adjacent to the prestigious Heron Bay
Country Club in Coral Springs, Florida. A distinguishing feature of this
ultra-luxury community is the stately grand clubhouse, which emulates
a Bermuda plantation estate home overlooking the residential villages.
The two-story residential buildings create the ambience and scale of a
luxurious single-family home community. Development Manager Robert Mathias
accepted the award on behalf of ZOM.
Steve
Patterson, President and CEO, congratulated all ZOM employees and other
members of the development team on their hard work and level of commitment,
which have provided ZOM its continued eligibility and success for these
prestigious awards. ZOM has previously won 27 Aurora awards for projects
it has developed, including a Golden Aurora for "Best Development Project"
in 1997.
