Awarded to ZOM, Inc.
For Best Rental Apartment Community,
Recreational Facility & Interior Design
ORLANDO,
FL - July 29, 1999 - In recognition of projects in a 10-state southeastern
region that have demonstrated building and design excellence, the 19th
annual Aurora awards competition for Designs of Distinction awards were
presented on July 24, 1999, in conjunction with the Southeast Building
Conference's annual convention and exposition in Orlando, Florida. The
SEBC states are Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi,
North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Of the 267 entries,
winners were chosen in 76 categories.
For
their luxurious garden-style apartment community, The Arbors at Bermuda
Island, located in Naples, Florida, ZOM Development, Inc. won a total
of four awards, which included one Grand Aurora for the clubhouse and
three Aurora awards for the rental apartment community and clubhouse interior
design. ZOM Development, Inc. also won an Aurora award for interior design
for their prestigious apartment community The Charleston at Boca Raton,
which is noted for its historical architectural character, reminiscent
of the elegant antebellum homes in Charleston, South Carolina. Development
Manager, Greg West, accepted the awards on behalf of ZOM, Charlan Brock
the architect, and Marc-Michaels the interior designer.
Steve
Patterson, President and CEO, praised the efforts of all ZOM employees
and other members of the development team for their hard work and level
of commitment, which have brought ZOM its continued eligibility and success
for these awards.
ZOM has
previously won 22 Aurora awards for projects it has developed, including a
Golden Aurora for "Best Development Project" in 1997.
